Frequently Asked Questions Are visitors welcome? Certainly are. Feel free to drop in. If you have any preliminary questions, contact anyone on the Pastoral Team. What is your worship music like? You could probably call it blended. We sing some of the great traditional hymns but we also sing new contemporary pieces. We are blessed to have a diverse congregation and our music reflects that wonderful diversity. But we are always looking to enhance our worship with new talent so if you have musical or other worship gifts, we'd love for you to share with us. What should I wear? Whatever you feel comfortable in. At Carpenter's House you will find people dressed in everything from their traditional “Sunday Best” to casual wear. When you worship God it’s not important what you wear on the outside, but rather, what you become on the inside. Do you take Communion? On the first Sunday of each month we take communion as a memorial of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Am I expected to bring an offering? No way! You are our guest. Do you have a statement of beliefs?
There are many churches who require you to dress,
worship, eat, drink (or not drink), pray or even be baptized in very
specific ways. At Carpenter's House, we try not to get caught up in
nit-picky, disputable matters that aren't biblically crystal clear.
Instead of a lot of rules, we focus on the core Christian beliefs and emphasize the joy of a personal relationship with a God who loves us.
